SHIPPING, RETURNS & GRADING

Plain English on how your records get to you and what the grades mean.

Shipping

  • Australia-wide via Australia Post Parcel Post or Express Post, quoted live at checkout from your postcode. Tracking is emailed when your order ships.
  • Orders are packed in rigid LP mailers with corrugated stiffeners. Records are shipped outside their sleeves to prevent seam splits in transit.
  • Orders usually leave within 1–2 business days of payment.
  • International shipping is available to most countries. Duties and taxes on arrival are the buyer's responsibility.

Grading

We grade both the media (the vinyl) and the sleeve separately, using the Goldmine standard. Every record is visually inspected under strong light and play tested.

GradeNameWhat it means
MMintPerfect. Sealed or never played. We use this grade sparingly.
NMNear MintLooks barely handled. No visible marks, plays perfectly.
VG+Very Good PlusLight surface marks or hairlines that don't affect play. Our most common grade for well-kept records.
VGVery GoodVisible marks and some light surface noise in quiet passages, but a thoroughly enjoyable listen.
G+ / GGoodPlays through without skipping but with noticeable noise. Priced accordingly.
F / PFair / PoorOnly listed when the record is rare enough to matter. Expect problems; described in full.

Returns

If a record arrives not as described, let us know within 7 days of delivery and we'll arrange a return for a full refund including return postage. We don't accept returns for change of mind on used records, but if something isn't right, talk to us β€” we'd rather sort it out.

Payment

We accept credit and debit cards through Stripe, and PayPal. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
